2020 Lexus RX 350 Release Date, Changes, Redesign. The Lexus is working on a mild facelift for one of its top sellers. It is the RX which will arrive as a 2020 model sometime during next year. The upcoming 2020 Lexus RX 350 has been caught on the spy photos which suggest some minor yet noticeable changes in the exterior styling.
It will continue to be offered as the base RX 350 and a hybrid version called 450h. It is still not confirmed whether the 2020 model year will also be available as the RX L. The base RX 350 will feature the same engine option as the current model so as the hybrid version too.
The key competitors of the new Lexus will be Volvo XC60, Lincoln MKX, Acura MDX, Nissan Murano and Cadillac XT5.
2020 Lexus RX 350 engine and performance
Speaking of the engine, the 2020 Lexus RX 350 will most likely use the same engine as the current model. It is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine which is able to make 295 horses and the torque of 267 pound-feet.
On the other hand, the hybrid version named RX 450h will get a hybrid unit under its hood. The gas engine will be sent power to front wheels while the electric motors to the rear. The all-wheel-drive system will be standard.
Redesign of exterior and interior
The 2020 Lexus RX 350 will continue with the brand’s familiar design philosophy featuring large spindle grille which will dominate the front fascia. For the 2020 model year, the new Lexus won’t feature any major upgrades.
Inside, the 2020 Lexus RX 350 will probably remain unchanged. The front seats are very comfortable and provide excellent room while the rear ones are supportive too and can split and fold if needed for more cargo space. Some of the standard equipment will include power front seats, power features, a rearview camera, forward collision warning, active lane control, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control etc.
